Rietvlei Lion Tour
Last Sunday Craigy and I went for lunch at the Reitvlei Nature Reserve Coffee Shop.
Afterwards we went for a tour of the lion camp in the Reserve.
All this- is just down the road from our house (a matter of literally a kilometer or two).
Beautiful creatures, and stunning scenery make for a beautiful day out, enjoy the photos below!

Scenic Swaziland stole my ❤
For my birthday I've started a bit of a tradition by going away for the couple of days that fall on and around my birthday. As my birthday is early in December, it's always really nice, and last year Craig and I decided to go to Swaziland. We found Ematjeni, an amazing little guest house, via TripAdvisor (which I cannot live without!). Swaziland is really close to Gauteng, so a short trip and you're there, but jeepers it feels like you're millions of miles away. It's soulful and very nourishing for the spirit. We came back renewed and ready for the last stretch of the year. I would recommend a trip to Swaziland to anyone, and definitely to the place we stayed; Ematjeni. Below are some beautiful photos of the views from the guest house. Enjoy.

Getting to know them stones, them Gemstones: Rose Quartz
I have for years now been fascinated by precious and semi-precious stones, and the energy they give off, with the resulting effect on our energy. I'm a hippy, and not scared to admit it.
In ode of my love for gemstones, I've decided to start a recurring post theme, helping us get to know our stones, our gemstones (haha- I came up with that one all on my own). I'll start off with one of my favorites, for obvious reasons, as will be highlighted below; the popular Rose Quartz:
Rose quartz is a type of quartz that exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue. It is often referred to as the stone of universal love. Rose quartz crystals help bring trust and harmony into relationships and help balance emotions. This is the gemstone known for bringing happiness to the owner. Rose quartz crystals are also widely considered to heal negativity such as anger and resentment. In addition they promote all types of love; self-love, romantic love, platonic love etc.
Rose quartz can be worn in jewelry- you can scatter some around your house- or keep one in your pocket close to your heart. All are effective ways of reaping the benefit from this loving stone.
So, if you feel there is more love needed in your life, get one of these babies, and feel the love resonate throughout your life. (To be used in conjunction with a healthy and happy lifestyle, batteries not included)

Quentin Tarantino does it again (in my books)
I thought Django Unchained was outstanding. At times quite violent, but with Tarantino, it's to be expected. I find his movie's extremely artistic, and this one is no different. I also found this particular cast phenomenal. Christoph Waltz (also from Inglorious Bastards) is as captivating as always. Jamie Foxx gave a performance that I won't soon forget. And Leo, oh Leo, there is absolutely nothing I can fault- outstanding.
Thrilling movie, and totally worth a watch.
Benjamin Franklin was a clever dude
Saw this beauty on Design for Mankind. It's an Enamel sign from Best Made Co.
I recently downloaded his autobiography on my Kindle, and am super keen to know what made this man tick.

I happened to catch this show on FTV recently, and was taken aback by the beauty of these two dresses. Yes. Stunning.

Neighbourgoods Market
My friend Sunny is up from Ballito, and invited me to join her for breakfast at the Neighbourgoods market. What an amazing way to spend a Saturday morning.
Also, Braamfontein has stolen my heart, the place is fast becoming the place of the moment.

The irrelevant wedding pictures
Our friends, Brad and Ulandi, got married yesterday, at a beautiful venue just outside of Pretoria. They had an award winning photographer who captured the day, spectacularly- I am sure. However, where I remembered, I snapped a couple of pictures myself, and landed with these four.
Yes!

Lovely weekend
This was the first weekend in over a month that Craig and I just got to chill and do homely stuff. On Friday we passed out in front of the tellie before 9. I woke up bright and early on Saturday, got served a lovely eggy breakfast by my most amazing, and then went to a dress fitting for my friend Ulandi's wedding. In the afternoon, we lazed, until we joined my family for cake and tea, at a lovely place in Pretoria called Blos. We went back to my parents place to pick up their Scrabble, and for the rest of the evening, Craig and I settled into a good game (where I proceeded to wipe the floor with him- mwahaha).
Sunday was just as lovely, we again, woke up bright and early, I had a long lovely bath, while Craig had his car washed. In the early afternoon, we went over to his mom's house, where I got to see my most beautiful nephew- little Liam. We had a scrumptious braai, and some amazing lemon meringue (Craig's mom is a genius when it comes to this dessert). And now, my Mister is watching a movie, while I write this blog post, after which I will proceed to tuck into my kindle- where I am currently in the middle of a tantalizing read.
